Mobile turbidity measurement with lab precision is required for testing by the industry or health offices with uses in surface waters, drinking water preparation and cisterns, well heads and springs. Mobile quality monitoring with lab precision is usable in the lab and the field via the AQS and LabStation.
With the IDS turbidity probe VisoTurb® 900-P, turbidity can be determined in surface waters but also in process applications by means of the portable MultiLine® pocket meters. The VisoTurb® 900-P works at 860 nm at an angle of 90°.
The N.I.S.T. traceable highly precise AMCO Clear® standards are non-toxic and prove to be most accurate and stable against Formazine, which gives them a clear advantage.
Aside from standard procedures, the application is a decisive factor for the choice: Particle size, number and coloration influence of the samples: The table indicates a suitability, but not an absolute must. Colored samples with cell cultures yield very different values, depending on the lamp used, but can both be used in the internal quality control.
